As if my trip couldn't get any better, I had the chance to visit this beautiful castle on the sea here in Trieste.


The castle was built for Ferdinand Maximilian Habsburg who was the archduke of Austria.

Ancora a Trieste

I'm still in Trieste and I have done minimal artwork. I am very tired and honestly, I am enjoying walking around Trieste with my 35mm camera and taking photos. I will definitely post my photos here after the thirty some odd rolls of my time abroad are developed. In the meantime please enjoy these :

Venezia, una volta di più

Venice is absolutely beautiful. I'm glad I got the opportunity to visit once more. I painted a little, but in all honesty I was much more interested in walking around and drinking in the Venetian atmosphere.

Update

I am here in Bergamo, Italia. I am visiting my family here for the last time before my return to NY. Tomorrow morning I am heading to Venice and soon after to Trieste. I plan on having more work to show but honestly its the end of my time in Italy and I am quite tired. Plus not to mention that the internet situation is less than optimal. I am more than certain that I will have work from Venice and Trieste, but I probably wont be able to upload the photos and the artwork until I am in Siena again. So please feel free to browse through the old posts and keep yourselves entertained. I will be posting as soon as possible, and upon arrival in NY, posting regularly again. Thank you.

Slacking

I sincerely apologize for the lack of posts. Like i mentioned before I have been taking final exams and I have been busy studying and revising. I am officially finished with my exams and my academic work in Italy is complete. So I will start producing some more artwork. I have some traveling to do before i leave so expect more work and more cities. Thanks !

Santa Maria Assunta.

Oggi ho fatto il turista nella mia città. Sono andato a vedere il duomo Senese, quindi sono entrato nel duomo, il battistero, il museo del duomo e la cripta. Il museo ha sculture di Donatello anche di Nicola Pisano e la sua bottega. Dentro del museo se può vedere dipinti di Beccafumi e Luca Giordano. C'e la possibilità di salire sul facciatone e guardare la città completa.








Il duomo stesso e' un'opera d'arte. E' bellissima anche molto importante per la storia dell'arte, cioè ha sculture de Michelangelo, Donatello, Pisano, Bernini e altri.








I'interno tutto fatto in bianco e nero, una chiesa veramente meravigliosa. Ci sono tanti cose cui uno dovrebbe guardare, benché sono andato a tanti altri chiese in Italia vi posso dire che questa chiesa e' una delle più belle e più affascinante.
L'ultima foto che vi devo mostrare e' della cupola e la torre.








La torre con il gioco di bianco e nero rispecchia il interno della chiesa fra la cupola aggiunge un poco di colore con l'azzurro. La cupola ha una lanterna cui e' stata fatta per il gran maestro barocco Bernini. In somma il duomo senese e' veramente e senza dubbio un gioiello d'architettura medievale e papale in Italia.
