The Sketchbook Project
I forgot to mention that I am taking part in the Brooklyn Art Library's Sketchbook Project. I mailed my sketchbook out today. It will be on a tour in California, but then it will come back and be a permanent collection of the Library. I tried not to think too much about what I was drawing. Meaning I didn't want to work under a theme. So the drawings are of places I visited while I had the book as well as anatomical studies and architectural studies, plus some random stuff. I did do some calligraphy, which I haven't included in my work for some time.
I'm happy with the results, the book has a lot of good images, I used ink , markers and gouache. I'm excited to find out how may people take a look at it.
If you want to find it whether you're in California or in NY, it's under my name: RG Peredo
Here is a page from the book, it's a drawing of Benvenuto Cellini.

Sala Rossa, Siena
I started scanning some of my sketchbooks from my time abroad. I found that I didn't post many of the drawings and paintings I made while I was away. I've been busy with other projects so I haven't been painting or drawing as much as usual, so to compensate I'll be posting some of my drawings I scanned.
This is Sala Rossa, which was a church, but is now part of the University of Siena. I would visit this place often, to sit and read. Looking at this drawing makes me miss Siena. I remember when I did it and how happy I was when I was doing it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
